Morocco is fast becoming the destination choice of the more discerning visitor. It is the closest ‘exotic’ country to Europe and is only a two and half hour flight from London. Undeniably Morocco is an amazing country in its own right offering a multitude of experiences and adventures. However Northern Morocco, with its proximity to Spain (9 miles away), is where European and North African influences come together into a wonderful mix of cultural sights and sounds.
Morocco generally brings to mind deserts, riads, haggling in the souks and markets and maybe the odd camel or two. And of course it does offer all those aspects in great abundance. But there is another side to Morocco. It is rapidly changing into a bustling, thriving modern society that can provide all the luxuries and comforts the modern tourist has now become accustomed to. In other words it gives you the best of both worlds by offering you choice in the type of holiday you want. If you want to travel to Marrakech by train or go hiking in the Rif or Atlas mountains you can. And if you want to laze by a swimming pool in well appointed apartment complexes or luxury hotels you can do that too!
We have added some links below to provide you with a greater source of information not only about the country, its people and culture but also practical advice and tips to help plan your trip or holiday. Bon Voyage!
